Williams Lake - COMMUTER CHALLENGE 2010
Reduce air pollution! Save money! Increase fitness!

As part of Clean Air Week and Environment Week, the City of Williams Lake and the Williams Lake Air Quality Roundtable invite you and your team to join us for our annual Commuter Challenge, May 31st to June 4th, 2010.

Businesses, organizations, families, schools and individuals can protect the air, reduce their carbon footprint and become more physically active. So, dust off your bike, put air in your tires or don your running/walking shoes for this year’s Commuter challenge. Who knows, it just might result in some long-term changes in commuting habits!

Individuals participating in the challenge must record their journeys on the Workplace Tracking Sheet (available for download in the margin) and then submit the sheet at the Cariboo Memorial Complex before June 4th, 2010.

Participants submitting worksheets will have the chance of winning gift certificates from local retailers. For each day that you participate, your name will be entered into the draw. The more days you participate, the greater are your chances of winning a draw prize!

Teams & Individuals can win under the following categories:
• Most carbon reduced
• Highest percentage of staff participating
• Oldest & youngest participants
• Most unique transportation

Team categories:
• School/Service Club
