Celebrated in B.C. since 1992, on the Wednesday of Environment Week, Clean Air Day is your chance to turn over a new leaf, or focus your long term activities, and share your commitment for action on improving air quality and tackling climate change.
Your actions will benefit your health and the quality of your immediate environment. There is also the chance that your long-term behaviour may change. Every year people participating in Clean Air Day activities across Canada discover a new healthier lifestyle that also benefits the local, regional and global environment. It doesn’t take much to decide you don’t need the car for that 5 minute commute to work, or on a nice sunny day it is easier, healthier and more enjoyable to just walk and avoid that congested school run.
Some ideas of how you can get involved are detailed in the margin.
