Road dust adds to unhealthy air quality

As road dust gets dispersed into the air, it can contribute to health issues and an increase in mortality rates.

Acknowledging the Williams Lake “airshed” is a technical boundary, mapped over the lands of the T'exelcemc (Williams Lake) and Xat’sull (Soda Creek) First Nations, we recognize this traditional gathering place (Columneetza), which has been stewarded by the Northern Secwepemc Peoples for thousands of years, as currently home to a wide range of First Nations (Tsilhqot'in, Dakelh-Dene, Métis Peoples) and Settler-Immigrant Peoples.
